Overview

Accountable for the receipt of raw materials, consumables and all other goods purchased at the facility. This role will be performing continuous improvement activities, process improvements and will perform daily receipts. 

Responsibilities

  • Posts receipts to be reviewed by quality
  • Moves received material to appropriate location as determined by the Receiving lead
  • Receives, stocks and issues materials, equipment or merchandise.
  • Utilizes data from sources such as purchase orders, invoices, packing lists, requisitions, and accounting reports and enters information into computer to maintain receiving, inventory, shipping, or other records.
  • Utilizes production schedule to execute transfer orders, work orders and shipping orders to ready items and take appropriate actions on items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Opens and conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage
    or to other designated areas and repackages and labels items as required.
  • Drives forklift to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Maintains and organizes the warehouse.

Qualifications

  • Perform basic math skills
  • Use computer skills including using the company computer system as well as standard personal computer software tools
  • Function as part of a team
  • Work well under pressure
  • Pay attention to detail
  • ERP experience and knowledge preferred
  • Exhibit good oral and written communication skills including legible penmanship

High School Diploma

This position operates in a plant environment.

 

Position Type:

 

This is a full time, non-exempt level position. Depending on the shift, hours will be defined.

 

Physical Demands:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
